A HUGE thank you to NBC 5 News Chicago for coming out to cover my school assembly shows. They dedicated two solid minutes of their newscast to cover my story and message to kids.
This is my 21st year performing and speaking at schools. While I have been profiled on the news in tons of other media markets, I have NEVER been covered by the local news in Chicago. Maybe there are just too many other things going on in Chicago. Or maybe it’s just like that restaurant that “Can’t be that good because it’s too close to home” :)
It was nice to share a few insights about my show to a larger audience. While the segment was two-minutes in duration, we recorded about 20 minutes for the interview. The piece could have gone in a bunch of different directions, as we talked about many different topics.
